About the Author and Illustrator
Matt Piper is an experienced author of young fiction, with over 100 books for children to his name. He has worked with many of the world’s best-loved characters and bestselling brands, including Bluey, Peppa Pig, Paddington, and Peter Rabbit. Matt is also the author and illustrator of original fiction and picture books under the name Bec Gerlings.
Sam Filstrup is an illustrator based in the San Francisco Bay Area. He holds a Bachelor’s degree in Animation and Visual Effects from the Academy of Art University. Sam has enjoyed a diverse career in illustration, animation, and video game development, contributing to major video game titles such as Sly Cooper IV: Thieves in Time. In 2022, he co-founded Yoyogi Games with his brother. Sam’s passion for LEGO began in his childhood, sparked by his grandmother who gifted him his first sets.
