Max Nicolai Appenroth
Max Nicolai Appenroth (M.A.), born 1986, is pursuing his doctorate at the Institute for Public Health at Charité – Universitätsmedizin Berlin, focusing on access to medical care for trans people. He teaches and lectures nationally and internationally and advocates for the rights of trans people on an (inter)national level.
María do Mar Castro Varela holds a diploma in psychology and education and a doctorate in political science. She is a professor of General Pedagogy and Social Work with a focus on Gender and Queer Studies at the Alice Salomon University of Applied Sciences in Berlin. In 2023, she received a fellowship from the Thomas Mann House in Los Angeles.
