McKenzie Wark is the author of a series of connected autofictional books including Reverse Cowgirl, Philosophy for Spiders, Raving, and Love and Money, Sex and Death. She is also known for a series of books of 21st-century critical theory, including A Hacker Manifesto, Gamer Theory, and Capital is Dead.
Originally from Newcastle, NSW, she emigrated to New York City in 2000. She is a professor of culture and media at The New School and a fellow of the Australian Academy of the Humanities. She lives in Brooklyn.
