Meredith Rae Fraser
Meredith Rae Fraser is a Cherokee Cultural Community Board Member, a former first grade teacher, a mother and grandmother, as well as a member of the Society of Children’s Books Writers and Illustrators, and the Oklahoma Writers’ Federation, Inc. She holds an early childhood and elementary education degree from the University of Tulsa. Meredith enjoys reading to her grandchildren, writing, and volunteering at the Woolaroc Museum and Wildlife Preserve with her husband. They reside in Oklahoma.
Alex Nees is an illustrator of German and Choctaw descent. She studied American literature and art history in Germany and the UK, driven by her passion for storytelling and art. Alex believes picture books possess a unique magic, making them both delightful and profound. She lives in Aabenraa, a picturesque sea-side town in the south of Denmark, with her daughter.
