Michael Lawrence Fleisher
Michael Fleisher was a writer known for his work with DC Comics in the 1970s and 1980s, most notably on the characters Spectre and Jonah Hex. He also authored three volumes of The Encyclopaedia of Comic Books Heroes.
Fleisher’s first published story was “Death at Castle Dunbar” in Secrets of Sinister House #5, released in 1972. He subsequently wrote for House of Mystery and House of Secrets. In the late 1970s, he scripted Shade, the Changing Man, and in the early 1980s, he contributed to the Batman mythos, including writing the origin story for The Penguin.
