Mohsen Sheikholeslami

Dr. Mohsen Sheikholeslami

Dr. Mohsen Sheikholeslami is the Head of the Renewable Energy Systems and Nanofluid Applications in Heat Transfer Laboratory at the Babol Noshirvani University of Technology, Iran. He pioneered a novel numerical method (CVFEM) in heat transfer, detailed in his book “Application of Control Volume Based Finite Element Method (CVFEM) for Nanofluid Flow and Heat Transfer.” He has been recognized as a Web of Science Highly Cited Researcher (Top 0.01%) and ranked globally first in mechanical engineering and transport by Elsevier (2020-2021). Dr. Sheikholeslami has authored several books and serves on the Editorial Boards of the ‘International Journal of Heat and Technology’ and ‘Recent Patents on Nanotechnology’.

Dr. Narges Ataollahi

Dr. Narges Ataollahi is an Associate Professor and Head of the Electrochemical Energy Laboratory at the Department of Civil, Environmental and Mechanical Engineering, University of Trento, Italy. Her expertise lies in electrochemistry and materials science & technology. She holds a Bachelor’s degree in Applied Chemistry, a Master’s degree in chemistry with a focus on solid polymer electrolytes for Li-ion batteries, and a PhD specializing in anion exchange membranes for electrochemical applications. Her research interests encompass anion exchange membranes for fuel cells and water electrolyzers, solid polymer electrolytes, thin-film photovoltaic and thermoelectric generators, sustainable thermoelectric materials, chemical modification, functionalized nanoparticles, chalcogenide nanocrystals, and materials synthesis and characterization. She has published numerous papers across chemistry, material science, and engineering.

Ziba Khalili

Ziba Khalili graduated from Babol Noshirvani University of Technology, Iran, with a Master of Science degree in Mechanical Engineering, specializing in heat transfer. Her research has focused on renewable energy systems, particularly photovoltaic/thermal systems. Her thesis investigated the integration of thermoelectric generators and hybrid nanofluids with confined jet impingement for enhanced efficiency in photovoltaic thermal solar units. She has published extensively on innovative cooling techniques and system designs for solar energy systems. Ziba has also participated in international collaborations and served as a teaching and research assistant.

Paolo Scardi

Paolo Scardi is a full professor and group leader of Energy Materials at the Department of Civil, Environmental & Mechanical Engineering, University of Trento, Italy, since 1986. His research interests include thin films and nanostructured materials, X-ray diffraction methods, and materials crystallography. More recently, his work has focused on atomistic modeling and the application of nanomaterials to renewable energy harvesting.
