Sunil K Nadar

Sunil K Nadar is a Consultant Cardiologist at Sultan Qaboos University Hospital in Muscat, Oman. Prior to this, he worked as a Consultant Cardiologist at the NHS in Birmingham, UK. He completed his research MD on platelet activation in hypertension and finished his specialist cardiology training in the West Midlands, UK.

Dr. Nadar is a Co-Editor for the Journal of Human Hypertension and an Associate Editor for the Sultan Qaboos University Medical Journal. His current research interests include the effects of thalassemia on the heart, the psychological impact of admission on patients with heart disease, and community awareness of the dangers of high dietary salt intake. He also serves as the coordinator for the May Measurement Month program in Oman.

Gregory Y. H. Lip

Gregory Y. H. Lip is the Price-Evans Chair of Cardiovascular Medicine at the University of Liverpool and Director of the Liverpool Centre for Cardiovascular Science at the University of Liverpool and Liverpool Heart & Chest Hospital, UK. He is also a Distinguished Professor at Aalborg University, Denmark, and an Adjunct Professor at Seoul National University and Yonsei University, Seoul, Korea.

In 2014, Professor Lip was recognized by Expertscape as the world’s leading expert in the understanding and treatment of Atrial Fibrillation. He has been a member of writing committees for various international guidelines and has held senior editorial positions for major international textbooks and journals. Professor Lip’s current research focuses on epidemiology, pathophysiology, translational research, clinical risk assessment and trajectories of risk, patient management pathways, and applied health research.
