About The Author

DIANE COOK and LEN JENSHEL are two of America’s foremost landscape photographers. Their work has been published in numerous magazines including National Geographic, Conde Nast Traveler, Audubon, The New Yorker, and Fortune. They have also published numerous fine art books of their photographs, including Travels in the American West, HOT SPOTS- America’s Volcanic Landscape, and AQUARIUM. The recipients of numerous fellowships, their work has been exhibited in more than 100 museums and collections worldwide, including the Art Institute of Chicago and the Yokohama Museum in Tokyo.SUSAN TYLER HITCHCOCK has written 16 nonfiction books ranging in genre from literary history to nature guide to family memoir. She holds a PhD in English from the University of Virginia and, as senior editor at National Geographic Books, oversees the science, health, and nature list. Among the notable titles she has acquired and managed are Buzz Aldrin’s No Dream Is Too High (an international bestseller), David Quammen’s Yellowstone, and the perennially best-selling Field Guide to the Birds of North America.
