Critics Review
The ultimate field guide if you are heading to this intriguing part of Western Africa.
One of the major advantages of this guide … is the quality of the maps. These have been thoroughly revised and have benefited from a large amount of recent fieldwork across the country by local ornithologists and visiting birders alike. For this reason alone, anyone visiting Ghana would be well advised to buy this second edition. * Bulletin of the African Bird Club *

Long awaited and very welcome, this field guide is indispensable … another effective contribution from Helm, one that will count among the West African birder’s collection of important books. * Malimbus *
