Paul Cornell
Paul Cornell is a novelist and TV writer who has worked in both comics and television. He famously created the character Bernice Summerfield for Doctor Who and has written for British television shows such as Robin Hood, Primeval, and Casualty. His comics work includes Marvel titles like Wisdom, Captain Britain and MI13, Dark Reign: Young Avengers, and Fantastic Four: True Story.
Marjorie Liu is a former lawyer and New York Times-bestselling author known for her Dirk & Steele and Hunter Kiss romance series. A dedicated comics fan, she first entered the medium with the NYX series No Way Home. Her subsequent credits include Black Widow, X-23, Daken: Dark Wolverine (with Daniel Way), and the novel X-Men: Dark Mirror.
John Paul Leon studied illustration at the School of Visual Arts under Will Eisner, Jack Potter, and Walt Simonson. He began his professional career illustrating for TSR’s Dragon and Dungeon magazines before breaking into comics with Dark Horse’s Robocop: Prime Suspect. He also worked on Milestone Comics’ Static, which was adapted into the animated series Static Shock. Leon has illustrated for numerous publishers, including Marvel Comics’ New X-Men, The Further Adventures of Cyclops and Phoenix, Avengers: The Ultron Imperative, Captain America, Daredevil, Marvel Shadows and Light, Moon Knight, and Thor. He is best known for his work on the maxi-series Earth-X. Leon also contributed artwork for the Superman Returns style guide, illustrated Superman children’s books, and worked on licensing artwork for the film Batman Begins. His Wildstorm/DC Comics work includes The Winter Men with writer Brett Lewis.
Tom Raney, an alumnus of the Joe Kubert School, gained prominence at Marvel with runs on Uncanny X-Men and Warlock Chronicles. He also worked at Wildstorm, contributing to the introduction of the Stormwatch characters who became The Authority, and at DC, helping to revamp The Outsiders. His notable Marvel credits include launching Mutant X, a second run on Uncanny X-Men, X-Men: The Search for Cyclops, Thor, District X, and Ultimate X-Men. Raney has illustrated the Annihilation: Conquest crossover and the miniseries Secret Invasion: Inhumans, Dark Reign: Hawkeye, and Black Widow: Deadly Origin.
