About The Author

Paul Wright

Nick Hewitt is a naval historian who works for Orkney Islands Council. He studied history at Lancaster and War Studies at King’s College London, before working at HMS Belfast and the National Museum of the Royal Navy. His broadcasting includes Coast, D-Day’s Sunken Secrets, and the BBC’s Battle of Jutland. His books include Coastal Convoys 1939-1945, Firing on Fortress Europe, and his critically acclaimed latest, Normandy: the Sailors’ Story.
