Peter Kropotkin (1842-1921)
Peter Kropotkin, born into a prominent aristocratic Russian family, renounced his privileged background to dedicate his life to his revolutionary ideals, enduring imprisonment and exile. He is best known for his seminal works, The Conquest of Bread and Mutual Aid. His funeral procession in the USSR marked the final authorized gathering of anarchists within the Soviet Union.
