Phoebe Maltz Bovy is a cultural critic based in Toronto. She is the author of The Perils of “Privilege” (2017).
She is a regular columnist for The Globe and Mail and a senior editor at The Canadian Jewish News. Phoebe is also a co-host, with Kat Rosenfield, of the podcast Feminine Chaos. Her newsletter, Close-reading the Reruns, connects contemporary North American issues to 90s British sitcoms.
Her writing has appeared in publications such as The Atlantic, The Forward, and The New Republic. Phoebe holds a Ph.D. in French from New York University.
