From the Publisher
Most Christians have read about the Tabernacle. Few have walked through it.
There is a reason God spent more chapters in Exodus describing the Tabernacle than He spent on the creation of the world. Every measurement, every material, every piece of furniture was chosen to communicate something specific about who He is, how He moves, and how ordinary people get access to an extraordinary God.
Rabbi Kirt Schneider brings to this book something rare: a lifetime inside messianic Judaism and the Jewish roots of Scripture, combined with a pastor’s heart for people who are hungry but not finding what they need in Sunday morning services. From Leviticus to Exodus, from the sacrificial system to the priestly garments, Schneider shows how every law and ritual was a shadow pointing to the same light. For readers drawn to old testament bible study, to the Hebrew feasts, to the passover seder, and what it points to in Jesus, this book is a tabernacle bible study unlike any other.
The exodus bible study tradition has long explored how Israel left Egypt. This book explores what they were heading toward: a God who wanted to live in the center of their camp. Not distant. Not unapproachable. Present.
That same God dwells among us today. And the Tabernacle shows exactly how to find Him.
Excerpt from Chapter 1: A Dwelling Place for God
God needs nothing, yet He finds pleasure and fulfillment in being in relationship with us. In fact, that’s why He created humanity - that He might dwell with us in communion.
Yahweh said, “Let Us make man in Our image, according to Our likeness” (Gen. 1:26). He did this so we could know Him, be like Him, and relate to Him. He made us in His image so we could have the capacity for the type of intimacy with Him that He desires. So we see that from the beginning, God was longing for closeness, and even before Messiah Yeshua came, He gave us a prophetic blueprint for how we can experience union with Him through the Tabernacle.
Every part of the Tabernacle has a spiritual application. Each element reveals a mystery – a divine key to dwelling in intimacy with God.
As Hebrews 9:23-24 tells us, the Tabernacle was a copy of heavenly realities and pointed to the work of Messiah Jesus. It foreshadowed the things that need to be in place in our own souls so the Lord Jesus can dwell within us.

Rabbi Kirt A. Schneider
In 1978, a young Jewish man with no familiarity with Jesus, feeling isolated, unfulfilled, and lost, was suddenly awakened from his sleep. A vision appeared to him of Jesus on the cross. “I knew at that instant that Jesus was the answer I had been searching for,” says Messianic Rabbi Kirt A. Schneider.
Today, Rabbi Schneider hosts Discovering the Jewish Jesus—one of the most-watched television and radio programs exploring the Jewish roots of Christianity and the fulfillment of messianic prophecy. His teaching brings together the Old and New Testaments with exceptional clarity, showing how Yeshua completes the unfolding plan of Almighty God.
A respected voice in messianic Judaism and Old Testament Bible study, Rabbi Schneider has authored numerous books, including Called to Breakthrough, Do Not Be Afraid, Self-Deliverance, The Lion of Judah, The Mystery of Dreams, Messianic Prophecy Revealed, and, most recently, Decoding the Torah. His ministry reaches millions across six continents through television, radio, and digital platforms.
Rabbi Schneider and his wife, Cynthia, reside in the Midwestern United States.
