Raunchy, riotous, and real, this book is a total breath of fresh air. Hilarious and original, Jude is my new bae. A triumph. - Juno Dawson, author of Under My Skin and This Book Is Gay
Everyone is going to have an opinion on [this] … An uncompromising and often uncomfortable read, but also very compulsive and funny. - the Bookseller, Ones to WatchBrave and caustic … After winning Canada’s Governor General’s Award for children’s literature, Reid’s novel was the subject of a petition protesting its ‘vulgar’ content. Just another example of the ugly prejudice it so affectingly indicts. - IndependentAn important novel, about what can happen when you inspire hatred because you don’t fit into any supposed ‘normal’ category …. a raw and original book - Telegraph, Best YA of 2016A young adult novel with bite - GraziaBrave, powerful, and can hopefully go some way toward helping young readers understand gender and sexuality - AttitudeBrilliant … It’s sharp, uncannily accurate and dotted with touching moments that utterly wring you out … Unnerving yes, but it also reveals just how talented Reid is at capturing so fully the pain of growing up and discovering who you are … It’ll be hard to forget in a hurry. - Belfast TelegraphAbout The Author
