About The Author
Robert Ryan
Robert Ryan is an author, journalist, and screenwriter. Born in Liverpool, he moved to London to study natural sciences at university. He began his writing career in the late 1980s for The Face, Arena, and the US edition of GQ, before joining The Sunday Times as a staff writer.
In 1999, following the publication of his first novel, Underdogs, he transitioned to freelance work, though he remains a frequent contributor to The Sunday Times. Ryan has published a total of twelve novels under his own name, the most recent being Death on the Ice. He has also published two novels, Steel Rain and Copper Kiss, under the pseudonym Tom Neale. These have been optioned by Fremantle TV for a potential television series.
Ryan is currently engaged in writing his next novel and developing various television projects.
