This is a beautifully produced and wonderfully compiled source of detailed information from a knowledgeable staff member of NZ’s own wonderful Auckland War Memorial Museum. It is not a complete compendium of every native tree, nor does it claim to be but its coverage of the many trees that it does describe is fuller and more interesting than the coverage offered in many of the larger reference books currently available. It should be on the shelves of all who have an interest in our interesting native trees.
