S. Shakthidharan is a writer, director, and producer of film and theatre, as well as a composer and performer of original music. He was born in Sri Lanka and raised in Sydney, Australia, where he is now based.
His adaptation of The Bone Sparrow by Zana Fraillon premiered with Pilot Theatre on a tour of the UK in 2022. He was a winner of the Windham-Campbell Prize for literature in 2026.
