Having suffered from mental illness during her teenage years and early twenties, she now works tirelessly to promote good mental health. She enjoys keeping fit and spending time with her close-knit family and friends whose love kept her going through her darkest times. She has made huge steps along her journey to recovery and hopes that her poetry will inspire others to do the same.
