About The Author

Sarah Vincent

Sarah Vincent started out writing plays before realizing she wanted to tell longer, messier stories and headed to RMIT University to study Professional Writing and Editing. These days, she teaches in the same program, where her students keep her inspired and occasionally on track.

She lives in Melbourne on the lands of the Bunurong People of the Kulin Nation with her husband, a children’s librarian, and their two spicy-brained adult children. Her own spicy brain finally made sense after an ADHD diagnosis, which explained both the chaos and the creative drive. She is deeply interested in gender, shaped by raising a non-binary young person, and has a long-standing fascination with India, where her grandmother’s family lived for three generations.

This is her debut novel.
