Scott Oliver
Scott Oliver turned to freelance features writing in 2012 after completing an arduous PhD on Peronist Argentina. His work, primarily focused on sport but also encompassing culture and politics, has appeared in publications such as The Guardian, The New European, New Statesman, and VICE.
He is a regular contributor of long-form football articles to The Blizzard, Mundial, and The Ringer. Cricket, however, remains his first love. Oliver has written extensively on the sport for ESPN cricinfo, Cricbuzz, The Cricketer, and Wisden Cricket Monthly. Since the 2017 re-launch of Wisden Cricket Monthly, he has served as their club cricket correspondent, compiling the popular “Club Cricket Hall of Fame” series.
