Sean Conway
Sean Conway gave up his photography job in 2012 to attempt a record for cycling around the world. His journey ended abruptly when he was struck by a truck and severely injured in Arkansas, USA. After a two-week recovery, he resumed his cycling trip.
In 2013, he became the first person to swim the length of Britain. Conway has also cycled the length of Britain and, in 2015, ran it unsupported, making him the first person to complete a British ‘triathlon’.
His other adventures include climbing Kilimanjaro dressed as a penguin and dislocating his shoulder while cheese-rolling in Gloucestershire. He currently resides in Cheltenham and is engaged in restoring a Second World War boat.
