Henry VII (Penguin Monarchs)

A scholarly and highly readable account of the king who traditionally has been overshadowed by the dynasty that he founded. Henry VII emerges as a wily, skilful and often ruthless monarch who secured a precarious throne for his Tudor successors – Tracy Borman
A lucid and always readable biography… It is a story that Cunningham tells succinctly and well. We learn everything we need to know and nothing we don’t… just the clear outlines of a crucial period of English history – David Crane * The Spectator *
