About The Author

Sergio Nogales Delgado

A multidisciplinary scientist with interests spanning biomass energy to biolubricant production from natural sources like vegetable oils.

Currently a researcher at the University of Extremadura, previously working at the Agricultural Technological Institute of Extremadura, part of CICYTEX.

Authored over 50 research publications in international peer-reviewed journals and presented more than 50 communications at international conferences. Contributed to several book chapters and books on related subjects.

As a university professor at the Industrial Engineering School (University of Extremadura, Spain), has taught courses in various university and master’s degrees focused on Engineering and Renewable Energies.

Holds a degree in Chemistry and a PhD from the University of Extremadura.

Extensive experience in scientific research, with publications in prestigious international peer-reviewed journals. Current research in the Department of Applied Physics focuses on combustion, pyrolysis, gasification, thermochemical processes, energy utilization of biomass waste, active carbons, and the production of biodiesel or bioethanol, among other areas.
