Critics Review
Green’s writing style is a mix of creepy and matter-of-fact, perfectly suited to his dark-tinged story. Supernatural and religious elements combine in the Twilight Zone-like setting * ROMANTIC TIMES *
I really enjoyed Green’s first John Taylor novel and the second one is even better. The usual private eye stuff - with a bizarre kick
* SCIENCE FICTION CHRONICLE *Considerable skill … a quick fun book to read … a lot of talent on display … so much fun you’re only thinking about what comes on the next page - or in the next book * CEMETERY DANCE *
The Nightside novels are a great blending of Lovecraft and Holmes. [Agents of Light and Darkness] is an action-packed thriller, a delightful private eye investigative fantasy tale * MIDWEST BOOK REVIEW *
Great urban fantasy * BOOKBROWSER *
Readers who prefer their gore with huge melodramatic flourishes and a side of slyly amusing repartee will find John Taylor at least the equal of Jim Butcher’s Chicago wizard PI Harry Dresden * KIRKUS REVIEWS *
About The Author
Simon Green
Simon R. Green was born in Bradford-on-Avon, Wiltshire, where he now lives after some years in Leicester studying for his MA in Modern English and American Literature; he also studied history and has a combined Humanities degree. After years of rejections, he sold seven novels at once, just two days after he started working at Bilbo’s Bookshop in Bath, after three and a half years of unemployment. The following year, he hit the Sunday Times and New York Times bestseller lists with the novelisation of Robin Hood: Prince of Thieves, which has sold more than 370,000 copies, and continues to sell. His bestselling novels span fantasy, space opera and horror, and include the Deathstalker, Nightside, Ghost Finders, Secret History and Hawk and Fisher series. He is currently working on a new Deathstalker novel.
