Critics Review
“I got the idea for Our Natural Homes back in 1980, when I was taking a biology class at U.C. Berkeley. I was fascinated by how scientists could classify these huge, mega-spaces of our planet. When I began writing for children a few years later, I thought, ‘You know, biomes is an idea children can understand.’ I thought it might be a cool way for kids to look at their world, a way to see beyond the pavement and houses and clutter of civilization. I now have a five year-old son and am pleased that out of all the books I’ve written, this is this favorite.” – Sneed B. Collard III
