Alison Lloyd
Alison Lloyd loves history, both grand historical events and the minutiae of daily life. Her favourite stories revolve around profound human emotions: hope and despair, loyalty and betrayal, love and loss. These elements combined in a book are irresistible to her, which inspired her to write her first novel, Year of the Tiger, and its sequel, Battle of the Jade Horse. She is also the author of the CBCA shortlisted non-fiction book, Wicked Warriors and Evil Emperors, and the Letty books in the Australian Girl series. Prior to her writing career, Alison worked for the Australian Government in the Department of Foreign Affairs and Trade. She currently resides in Melbourne with her family.

Sofie Laguna is the author of four adult novels that have garnered numerous literary awards, including the Miles Franklin Award, the Colin Roderick Award, and the Indie Award.
