Few writers punch above their weight quite so well as Stephen Moss when it comes to filling a book with memories, stories, facts and figures… [an] excellent book * Birdwatch *
A superb naturalist and writer – CHRIS PACKHAM
It is a delight to share the company of such an upbeat wildlife guide – BEN HOARE * Countryfile *
Reveals the fascinating - and sometimes worrying - reality behind the familiar image [of the puffin] … Moss brings together puffin ecology, history, culture and conservation to give us a much fuller picture of this remarkable little seabird … It is difficult to look at a puffin in quite the same way again. * BRITISH WILDLIFE *
An enjoyable and constantly informative read – ROB HUME, on Moss’s previous books * Birdwatch *
Inspired, friendly and blessed with apparently limitless knowledge – PETER MARREN
Stephen Moss delights once more - lyrical and informative – BENEDICT ALLEN, on Moss’s previous books
Engrossing * BBC WILDLIFE *
