About The Author

Steve Barlow

Steve Barlow

Steve Barlow is one half of the writing duo “2Steves”. He has co-authored over 250 books with Steve Skidmore since 1988. Barlow was born in Crewe and received his education at Crewe Grammar School, Warwick University, and Nottingham University. His diverse career has included teaching, acting, stage management, and puppetry. He also spent four years teaching in a village school in Botswana before returning to the UK. The “Two Steves” have toured extensively both within the UK and internationally, participating in book festivals such as Edinburgh and Hay.

Steve Skidmore

Steve Skidmore is a co-author of “2Steves,” known as Britain’s premier comedy writing and performing double act for young people. Born in Birstall, near Leicester, he studied English at Nottingham University, where he was also active in sports and held various jobs, including one that involved counting pastry pie lids. Skidmore trained as a teacher of Drama, English, and Film before embarking on a full-time career as an author with Steve Barlow. He currently resides in Leicester and is a passionate rugby supporter.
