About The Author
Susan Duncan
Susan Duncan’s career in journalism spanned 25 years, encompassing radio, newspaper, and magazine work. She held editorial roles at two of Australia’s leading women’s magazines, The Australian Women’s Weekly and New Idea.
Following the deaths of her husband and brother, Susan made the decision to leave her career. After a period of difficulty in finding a new path, she discovered her own “patch of paradise” only to be diagnosed with cancer.
Susan now resides with her second husband, Bob, on the shores of Pittwater at Tarrangaua, a home originally built for poet Dorothea Mackellar in 1925.
Her bestselling memoir Salvation Creek and its sequel The House at Salvation Creek achieved significant success. Susan also authored the illustrated coffee table book A Life on Pittwater and the bestselling novel The Briny Cafe.
