Horrible Harry in Room 2B

Suzy Kline is the author of nineteen Horrible Harry books and four books about Song Lee. She lives in Willington, Connecticut, with her husband, Rufus. They have been married for thirty-eight years and met in their home state of California. Suzy grew up in Berkeley, and Rufus is from Sacramento.

Suzy graduated from the University of California, Berkeley, with a degree in European History. She and Rufus met at the Davis campus of the University of California while she was attending for a year. They married and lived in various places, including Canada, before settling in Connecticut.

Before retiring, Suzy taught 5th and 6th grades at Shannon Elementary School in Richmond, California, for three years, and 2nd and 3rd grades at Southwest Elementary School in Torrington, Connecticut, for twenty-four years. She now writes full-time and enjoys visiting schools and libraries.

Suzy and Rufus share their home with two cats, Teeter and Hoag. They have two daughters, Jennifer and Emily, and four grandchildren: Jake, Kenna, Gabby, and Saylor. A fifth grandchild was due in September 2006. Suzy’s mother, who recently turned 96, was the inspiration for her most recent book, Horrible Harry Takes the Cake.

Suzy and Rufus enjoy attending UConn football and basketball games. Suzy also utilizes the UConn library for research for her writing.
