Sylvain Runberg
Sylvain Runberg grew up reading Batman, Asterix, and Spirou comics, which fed both his love of the medium and history stories in general. He now splits his time between France and Sweden.
Since launching his career in 2004, Runberg has authored 140 graphic novels which have been translated into 26 languages and sold over three million copies worldwide. This includes multiple projects like the long-running Orbital series with artist Serge Pelle, and hits such as Warship Jolly Roger, Stieg Larson’s The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo, Conan, Watch Dogs: Legion, and Zaroff. On Mars was Runberg’s first work with Grun, but they have since collaborated on other projects, including the recent Space Relic Hunters.
Besides graphic novels, Runberg has ventured into the television industry, creating five TV series. He’s currently working on the narrative design of several video games including the Warship Jolly Roger adaptation by Proxima Studios. He’s also the co-founder of Dark Riviera, an international 360 IP boutique based in Stockholm.
