About The Author

Tanya Lloyd Kyi

Tanya Lloyd Kyi is the author of more than 30 books for children and young adults. She writes about science, pop culture and places where the two overlap. Her recent books include The City of Lost Cats and Bompa’s Insect Expedition, cowritten with David Suzuki. Tanya lives in Vancouver, where she is a lecturer with the UBC School of Creative Writing. Her favorite meal is breakfast and her favorite color is blue. When she’s not writing, she hikes, plays tennis and bakes brownies.

Colleen Larmour is a picture-book maker from Northern Ireland, where she lives with her family. She studied at Liverpool School of Art and Design and on the master’s course in Children’s Book Illustration at Cambridge School of Art. Colleen has illustrated several books including Our Green City (Kids Can Press) and Making Friends (Walker Books).
