Wailani Sung, MS, PhD, DVM, DACVB, FFCP
Wailani Sung is a Board Certified Veterinary Behaviorist and the Senior Director of Animal Admissions and Wellbeing at Joybound People and Pets, a private non-profit organization. In her role, she manages three key programs: the transfer of pets from municipal shelters, the assessment and management of the shelter’s behavior population, and the provision of training classes and consultations for privately owned pets. She also offers guidance to animal shelters across the nation on individual case evaluations and the creation of effective behavior programs. Dr. Sung has been featured in the NOVA documentary Cat Tales and the Netflix documentary Inside the Mind of a Cat.
Jeannine Berger, DVM, DACVB, DACAW
Jeannine Berger is the CEO of Monticello Veterinary Practice and Mayfair Vet Care, community clinics focused on providing accessible veterinary care, including general practice, behavior services, and urgent care. She is one of the few veterinarians holding dual board certifications from the American College of Veterinary Behaviorists and the American College of Animal Welfare. With more than 30 years of experience in animal welfare, Dr. Berger previously served as the Senior Vice President of Rescue and Welfare at the San Francisco SPCA. In 2019, she was awarded the Bronze Medal for Global Animal Welfare by the World Veterinary Association.
