William B. Hopkins was a Marine officer in the Pacific in WWII and served in Virginia’s Senate for twenty years, four years as Majority Leader. He practiced law in Roanoke, Virginia, and re-entered active service as a Marine captain during the Korean War. He is the author of One Bugle No Drums. Hopkins lives in Roanoke.
