Critics Review

X. Fang has made a name for herself with joyful and slightly surreal romps that liven up any bedtime reading session. Broken is no different… It’s a simple story that Fang has injected with plenty of life and humour, with a useful message about guilt and accountability for kids at the end * Irish News, Children’s Book of the Week *
A common childhood experience, conveyed with an uncommon mix of sensitivity, mirth and heart * Kirkus, starred review *
Peace settles over the living room with the understanding that objects and trust alike become more precious for having been lovingly mended * Publishers Weekly *
Master storyteller Fang delights readers with another amusing picturebook, capturing a universal childhood experience with humour and care * Inis Magazine *
A very humorous picture book… The cat is just brilliant, the illustrations perfect and the story clever * Armadillo Magazine *
Another fabulous picture book from X Fang * My Book Corner *
- Praise for Dim Sum Palace * - *
Like the best comfort food, this delicious picture book is one you’ll come back to over and over again… Gorgeous * The Times, Children’s Books of the Year *
A fantastical celebration of eating… A gallery of exquisitely drawn dim sum adorns the endpapers * Observer *
A deliciously off-kilter picture book that looks almost good enough to eat * The Times *
A sumptuous homage to Maurice Sendak’s In the Night Kitchen * New York Times *
- Praise for We Are Definitely Human * - *
A celebration of how weird can be wonderful too * The Times, Children’s Book of the Week *
An author-illustrator with a singular and witty vision… For those of us who are indisputably, unalterably human, the book is a welcome vote of confidence. * New York Times *
What starts out as a fish-out-of-water comedy becomes a close encounter of straightforward acceptance * Publishers Weekly, starred review *
