Yacov Morad
Yacov Morad is a winemaker, author, and founder of Morad Winery in Israel. At the age of 10, he watched his father make wine on a small plot of land, and by 12, he was making wine himself. After 30 years of experience, he and his wife, Ester, converted his hobby into a full-time profession, opening Morad Winery in 1999. The winery became known for making wine out of parsley, sweet potatoes, and sage. Yacov appeared on TV and hosted visitors at his winery. Morad Winery was the first commercial winery in Israel to make wine out of almost anything but grapes. Now retired, Yacov Morad teaches students how to make wines and liqueurs out of unconventional ingredients.
