Dr. Yashas Gowda. T G.

Dr. Yashas Gowda. T G. received his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from Malnad College of Engineering in 2014. He obtained his M.Tech in Machine Design from SJB Institute of Technology, affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, India, in 2016. He earned his Ph.D. from King Mongkut’s University of Technology North Bangkok (KMUTNB).

Currently, he serves as an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan. Dr. Gowda has an extensive publication record, with over 25 articles in high-quality international peer-reviewed journals, 9 book chapters, and one edited book. He has also presented research papers at numerous national and international conferences. He has been an organizing committee member for 3 International Conferences hosted by the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan.

His primary research interests lie in the areas of natural fiber composites, tribology of composite materials, and polymer composites. Dr. Gowda has been recognized by Stanford University’s list of the world’s Top 2% of Most-Cited Scientists for his single-year citation impact in 2022.

Sharath B.N.

Sharath B.N. completed his Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering from NDRK Institute of Technology in 2013. He received his M.Tech in Production Engineering (University Medalist) from UBDT College of Engineering, Davangere, under Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, India, in 2015. He obtained his Ph.D. from Malnad College of Engineering, affiliated with Visvesvaraya Technological University, Belagavi, India, in 2022.

He is currently an Assistant Professor in the Department of Mechanical Engineering at Malnad College of Engineering, Hassan. Sharath B.N. has published over 28 articles in high-quality international peer-reviewed journals, 5 book chapters, and has presented research papers at various national and international conferences. His current research focuses on the fabrication of hybrid metal matrix composites, natural fiber composites, and the characterization of tribological and mechanical properties of composites at both high and room temperatures.
