“Kill Your Darlings made me laugh, cry, swoon, and hold my breath. It’s gothic and enchanting, unafraid to throw several punches and has twists I didn’t see coming. It’ll break your heart again and again and stitch you back together—it’s utter perfection. Yuvashri Harish pulls off this ambitious debut and makes it look easy, and I want more.” —Jamison She…

“Eldest daughters, rejoice! Thulasi is the complex, fierce heroine we’ve been waiting for. Harish’s debut is a gory gauntlet that reminds us to be wary about meeting our heroes—and that the real horrors aren’t just the shadows lurking in the dark. They’re waiting in the light, ready and willing to hide the truth.” —Alex Brown, Locus Award finalist and author of Rest in Peaches and Damned If You Do

About The Author

Yuvashri Harish

Yuvashri Harish writes speculative fiction for YA and adult audiences, featuring Tamil main characters in dramatic, magical, and often terrifying situations. Born on Tharawal land and now living on Gadigal land, she grew up borrowing twelve books a week from the library.
