Critics Review
For Japanese Tattoo and History Lovers!
I loved learning about the cultural significance of specific tattoos and their meanings. It was very interesting to read about and I also loved all of the cool pictures that were included. Definitely a cool book to keep on your coffee table! - Vanessa 5 Stars
Deep Meaning within Tattoos
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this well-written book. I was taken by surprise to learn that Yakuza tattoos serve not only as beautiful art but also as a testament to the strength and loyalty of Yakuza members, who endure long hours of pain under the tattoo artist’s needle. These intricate works of art hold deep meanings. For instance, I had previously believed that cherry blossoms were merely a background motif, but in reality, they symbolize the beauty and brevity of one’s life. The book is impressively researched and excellently written. I promise you’ll be in for a surprise! JV 5 Stars
Great Pictures
This book is not only visually stunning but also provides interesting information. It’s a reminder that tattoos are not just for decoration but are statements of identity and personal narrative. This is a great book for anyone who appreciates the beauty and complexity of body art and I would recommend it to anyone who wants to get a Japanese-inspired tattoo to understand the meaning behind the art. - Armando 5 Stars
